JOHN A. HAY
John Hay was born in Bridge of Weir, the youngest of five children, and was educated at Strathallan School, Perthshire. He obtained a combined Arts & Law degree from Glasgow University in 1974. He served his apprenticeship with Shepherd & Wedderburn, Writers to the Signet, Edinburgh, and then spent two years working with Ross & Connel, solicitors in Dunfermline.

He joined the family firm of Messrs D & J Dunlop Solicitors in 1983. He is married with four children and lives in Ayr. He has various interests including, jazz music, tennis, hockey, and skiing.
QUINTON MUIR
Quinton Muir is a Senior Court Partner. He was born in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire, and was educated at the town’s Garnock Academy and then at the University of Glasgow, where he obtained a degree of LL.B (Honours). He is an experienced and respected Court Solicitor who applies a practical approach to problem-solving.
He is married with one child and lives in the country between Dalry and West Kilbride. Amongst his varied personal interests are farming/rural issues, junior football, and gundogs.
ROBERT KELLY
Robert Kelly was born in Glasgow. He was educated at Calside Primary School, Dumfries, Kirkinner Primary School near Newton Stewart, and thereafter at Douglas Ewart High School, Newton Stewart. He then joined Ferguson & Forster, solicitors in Newton Stewart, training as a Scottish Law Accountant, and attending Strathclyde University to obtain his Diploma. Robert spent six months with Alexander Stone & Co, solicitors in Glasgow before joining Messrs D & J Dunlop Solicitors in May 1994.
Since joining D & J Dunlop Solicitors he has passed The Association of Taxation Technicians examinations. Robert is a Law Society of Scotland Registered Paralegal and lectured in Inheritance tax for the Society of Law Accountants in Scotland (SOLAS) from 1998 to 2010. He is married with three children and lives in Alloway, Ayr. His interests are varied but predominantly include cycle road racing/time trial, hockey, hill walking, and snowboarding.
